What fitness level do I need?
The Coastal Track is a lovely introductory level walk. The gradient is mostly flat and gentle, with some steeper climbs over headlands, and descents down to beaches. A reasonable level of fitness is required to complete the track, but we will take regular breaks to ensure this walk is enjoyable for all. Guests can expect to be walking for approximately 5 hours, broken up with regular breaks.
For anyone that suffers from knee pain, we recommend using a pair of walking poles for support. Gone are the days when poles were deemed to be ‘dorky’, using poles is actually really beneficial for your knees as they take a significant amount of pressure off your joints.
We hire out lightweight, collapsible walking poles for just $20 a pair. If you’re interested, please add them to your order when booking.
