Trail Notes and Grading

The track is multi-terrain; with rock paths, coastal strolls, mountain traverses and shady bush tracks. Following a well-marked trail, your guides will lead you through many different landscapes offering endless variety of vegetation, birdlife and scenery. This tour also includes a short 30 minute boat trip to Schouten Island on a water taxi, including beach landings. Please note that there is a risk of getting wet feet during embarkment and dis-embarkment from the vessel.

The Freycinet Circuit offers a challenging experience. The mountain climb on day three requires 6-8 hours of walking and guests are required to have reasonable fitness levels and prior walking experience before undertaking this experience.

Please contact us if you have any concerns about your ability to complete this walk.
